Seattle Day Trip

Yesterday we hopped in the car and drove up to Seattle for the day. We went up for my cousin's wedding reception. But we also went up for some fun. We went up to the water front and had a very fried lunch and than went to the Seattle Aquarium with about 500 other people. It was very crowded but surprisingly not too congested. Carter enjoyed seeing the fish and the animals. Landon took a nap.

We stopped by the Cheesecake Factory and got two slices and than we went to a little green park to play before we headed over to the reception.
best picture of me with my kids and Paul's Family

It was really late when we got home. Like one am yuck. Ryan and I managed to stay awake doing our times tables and me recounting all my school years to Ryan.. :) I could remember all my teacher names through 6th grade!! wow. Ryan also tried to explain to me how cars work.. Still don't understand everything or should I say anything. I need a good picture book a little more advanced than 'The way things work."

month 5

Landon,

I am shocked that we have already come this far.. 5 months. Wow. You have grown a lot in the last little while. I look at you and I am so shocked how much you have grown. You can roll over from your tummy to your back and you can scream like no other I've ever met. Well maybe Carter has got you beat but 5 month old Landon can beat 5 month Carter. It's your I'm bored so please pick me up NOW scream. You have a smile that lights up my world. You are the most beautiful baby. You even got the waitress last night so distracted with your awesome smile that she missed our order and Daddy had to repeat it. I love it when I catch you staring at daddy. I love it when you and Carter laugh at each other. I am sure other babies might cry at Carter's aggressive love but you see his love for you and for that I am so happy.

Love you L

becoming a good big brother.

Carter was 21 months old when Landon was born.

As a new baby Landon spent a lot of time in his travel swing. When I was fixing dinner his swing would be on the counter (which is rather wide; so this for sure won't work in ever house).

Carter wasn't allowed to hug Landon for a long time. (Hugs are too physical and hard for such a little boy to give to such a little baby) Kisses on the head are much safer.

Landon had tummy time while Carter was in his high chair.

We also got Carter a chair similar to Landon's swing but with a higher weight limit so that Carter could sit in his chair while Landon sat in his and now they both take turns sitting in Carter's.

And of course I would ask Carter to be a good helper by getting Landon's diapers and wet wipes etc for me.

What things did you do to keep your baby safe while keeping your toddler involved and happy?

Egin Lake

Landon got a fist full of sand in his face.. I am pretty sure Carter was just trying to share.. but I was more upset than Landon. :) Over all it was a great day and I think Carter totally could agree. Hard to get a picture of him still.

Bathroom

before but after Ryan had ripped out some of the tile

after

after with a view of my art.. :)

Well we are still waiting for a few things to happen. Our house to sell our schedule to be scheduled as far as moving guys etc. Here is our before and after of the bathroom nothing too major. Re-tiled the vanity and painted the walls Moonbeam white and the vanity Beluga black. Found out the sink was broken when we took it out.. it was rusted out in a few spots. We put in a nice porcelain sink we where able to get at a contractors warehouse. :)
