In Our Lovely Deseret

Children's voices, oh, how sweet,
When in innocence and love, Like the angels up above,
They with Happy hearts and cheerful faces meet.

LDS Hymns #307

For some reason when I heard and sang this song today in Relief Society the chorus of the song just jumped out at me. The first line made me tear up. I was thinking about how LOUD and often disobedient Carter is yet he is still so sweet. I don't always see how sweet he is and I wonder if other just miss it all together. But my little boy is so sweet. When we eat almost at every meal he says. 'Thank you Momma this is Really good'. Some times he says 'this is Delicious'. He's pretty good at saying Sorry if he steps on me or inflicts some pain on me. He tells me he loves me and that I look pretty. Ryan has trained him pretty good. And it certainly is wonderful to pause and think about the wonderful and sweet things that he does.

Oh and I don't want to forget. For the last few days/weeks Carter has been saying something that we haven't been able to figure out.. and it's 'I'm working' he also says 'I AWAKE!' usually he waits until morning to say that but sometimes he says it on the way to nap time or after we've put him to bed. He also says 'I sleeping' when he doesn't want to do something or just when he is playing. So not only is he sweet he's pretty cute too. At least I think so. :)

love and waiting.

I love to be with Ryan. When we were dating and I was expecting him I would wait for him in the hallway or on the balcony at my apartment complex. My roommates would tell me that I was crazy and that I should just wait inside. Maybe they just thought that I was being too desperate.. But I still do that. I sit by the window or will sit on the porch waiting for him to come home. So it makes me sad when he is late or isn't coming. We've been married for 3.5 years and this is only the second time he has ever left me. Once for an overnight camp out for Business Department and this time to fix a pipe, paint a wall, mow our horribly over grown lawn and to over see the packing of all of our belongings. So I've left him a few times but it's different when you get to go versus the one being left behind.. left behind with the kids.

Anyhow we all miss Daddy. We actually were all crying/screaming on different levels when we left the airport. "No go Airplane! No go Airplane!" I was silly enough that I had to make a second loop.. before I would slow down and let him out. I know it's totally ridiculous but I love Ryan a lot and he truly is a part of me and despite the need for him to go I didn't want him to leave us. Plus it made me sick to my stomach to see him go.

Can't wait for him to come back home.

6 months

Dear Landon,

It's June already and here we are again time for another letter. Six month is naked picture month. You are growing rapidly. Last night a lady who walked passed us stopped to say that you are the most beautiful baby. I must agree you are good looking.

We are having a bit of a sleeping issue right now but I don't really blame you. We don't have a crib right now or space for me and you to work on sleeping better without bothering a lot of other people. I hope this skill will quickly become one of yours once we get into our house. We haven't started giving you solids regularly. You didn't like your first taste of green beans and last time you had rice you kind of gagged. We will try again soon.

You crawled today. We were very surprised with your quick progress from nothing to getting what you want and very quickly! We love you Landon and are very glad we have you in our family.

Love you,

Momma

Sand Box..

We took a walk over to the big sandbox.. I had to carry Landon on my back so Carter had to carry monkey on his. Monkey helps us all get back to the apartment together and he carried the tools. We had fun digging and hiding rocks. We used the tools that Grandma gave us for Easter and had a lot of fun. Thanks Grandma. We miss you and love you.

Our New House!

We have been house hunting since we got here in Tri-cities area of Washington. We are in contract now with a house that is Almost Perfect. We love the location and we love the house (minus some cosmetic issues). I love the kitchen! We wish the backyard was bigger but the house is wonderful and there is a large neighborhood park close by and the ward seems to be just what we want! We feel very blessed we hope the blessing keep coming. :)
