Ghia

Ryan wanted to go test drive a Karmann Ghia 1969. We drove out to take a look and he drove it around for a bit. I like the bumper on the lower picture better then the bumperless one we saw. We decided the timing was wrong for this type of project car. 

 On the way home we stopped at this old bridge that had been sliced in half.. Landon was still sick from getting the flu mist. Poor guy just wanted to sleep and since I had some medicine we felt like we could still explore a little. I am so glad we did. I love a reminder that spring is coming and that exploring more often will soon resume.

Baby #3

Overall feeling? SO happy that my thyroid levels are good! but I also feel like an old lady. My body aches. Back pain usually really low back pain. It has improved over the last month. I am not using icy/hot anymore and I have quit taking baths. Last time I got in the bath to soak, hoping to feel better totally back fired and I felt way worse. So I just use the shower to heat my back up.

Total Weight Gain/Loss? Only like 5 lbs but seriously I am showing soo much faster.

Cravings? Not red meat. That just seems gross. I am liking candy. It is crazy I was reading a book and they were talking about eggs and then grilled cheese and I am like man that sounds good no that sounds good.. so hearing about anything usually peeks my interest. 

Name? Last night Ryan finally talked boy names with me. I told him I was worried I would be bummed with another boy. But if we talked about names before we find out then I might feel better about it. Not that I don't love boys but I would like to have a daughter relationship as well. 

Sleep? I sleep on a folded down comforter share a sheet with Ryan and then have my twin denim quilt over me. Making the bed over my side looks super lumpy but I don't feel like taking my tower down every morning. Ryan called me the princess and the pea. But the down helps my hips and back feel better in the morning. Late in Carter's pregnancy I slept in the recliner-I can't remember if that was because of back pain or heart burn but i think it was my back.  

Crazy weird things? My leg hair seems to be growing slower.. winter? bc of my new meds? I don't know. 

Coolest thing? I am feeling the baby! I had to wait longer with this one then with Carter and I can't remember with Landon but Landon and this baby both have anterior placentas which make it harder to feel.

I also did a blood draw a few weeks ago and the phlebotomist hit a nerve! Shooting pain down my arm and instant tears in my eyes. Luckily the lady asked if I wanted her to remove the needle and I am so glad that I said yes. I read of a case where the needle wasn't removed immediately and the patient received severe life long nerve damage and was awarded 5.4 million in settlement.. any ways my arm hurt to use for two weeks. Like some one was stabbing a knife in my arm every time I reached for something  I walked around with my left arm glued to my chest keeping my arm at a 45 degree angle. Happy to say last week it was like a pulled muscle and I think it is back to normal now. But of course there were a few days were I was terrified that the pain might never go away. 

It's taking me longer to get excited about this baby because of the thyroid issues and stress from that. I am getting excited now! I let Landon pick out a baby dress and he was so picky. It was his idea and he picked it. I hope we get to keep it and not just give it away. :)

Ryan got out the camera for my monthly picture and the boys hurried into the frame. It was super cute.

We had a great morning. I never got the camera back so no pictures of Ryan with any of his awesome presents. Ryan was most definitely the most spoiled this year. It was my favorite to watch him just grin and grin at his new toys. Surprises are the best! Our family sent us lots of nice things. Thanks to all! :)

 And then it snowed! The trampoline was a little slippy and a little cold. 

Carter is up in his room and I am telling him to come out and see. 

Landon's Birthday

We stopped at the lookout point on the way home. We have never seen such awesome fog. It was pretty cool! 

We had fun on our Idaho trip as we always do. So grateful we have some family that we can visit.

Swimmers

This is from our last swimming day

Sometime after Carter got brave

The boys became awesome swimmers while we were in Texas we were there for 3 weeks so it's not too surprising but it was amazing. We need to find a pool here to get back in the swing of things.

Carter improved while we were there I made up a little song while we were in the pool to help him be brave:

       "Carter is my little fish swimming round and round, he used to be so scared all he did was frown."

It worked he laughed and quit be scared..

Landon did awesome too he had some nice floaties that held him up and he loved the water.

Canoe Trip

 Hold your nose, your breath and keep your eyes squeezed shut and it's super fun otherwise.. not so much!

 Lunch was good I promise.. even though these two look less then trilled. :)

 I jumped in and then tried to swamp Dad and Andrew.. they back paddled.. dang it. 

We had so much fun the best parts were not even pictured.. ..Melissa and I getting like 2 hours of sleep before we left and then me telling the story of "Mohawk Man" Reed's old antenna ball and crying hysterically with laughter (seriously never laughed that hard ever).. all of us in one canoe forward ferrying the river- then capsizing the canoe you know for practice. All of us trying to body surf through the rapids together that was not one of our best ideas for sure!  Trying to sleep in the heat the camping night and Melissa and I dumping our sheets in our drinking water..  finding one rapid that was fun and hard and easy to carry the canoe up to do over and over and then finding out that body surfing through it wasn't as scary as it looked. And then there was the nerdy part where the boys called out all kinds of numbers instead of 1,2,3,etc  for the boat order calling out all kinds of things I had no idea. We had such a blast together! I am so grateful that Angela and Grandma were brave enough to watch all those kids 6 boys! And that everyone came so we could do this together. I hope we can do it again one day.
