Okay so we have done some Toy Testing.. and the winner of the BEST RATTLE award goes to this Sassy wonder. The reason it wins is because it's light and has excellent handle size and a great little amount of rubber to chew on. And maybe because Carter is so good at playing with it.

Second place is this beauty. It was tricky at first but Carter is getting the hang of it. The down side is that the ball on the ring is too big to fit into his mouth but the rings make it a little easier to hang on too. And even though it is heavy the size is larger so it still is workable.

The loser of the rattles.. is this guy. Mostly because it's top heavy and the fish is too big to get in the mouth and the handle isn't large enough to easily get both hands around and the rings prevent grabbing from the post. Although I am sure he will get better with age-currently this guy is not a winner.. But he still gets to stay in the diaper bag.

We do however have trick that tops them all (we do this typically when we are trying to drive and he is tired and wants to get out and needs to go to sleep). Ryan and I both have MP3 players on our phone. When the child gets tired and cranky and can't fall asleep we just open up a song and toss the phone in next to him and it calms him down.. and helps him fall asleep. We also love some of his soft toys.. LOVE his camel (has great legs that fit in his mouth and it comes down and vibrates back up and also has a rattle) that hangs on his car seat (soft as to not hurt his head if we hit a bump or anything) we love his alligator that he can hold on to and shove in his mouth.

Here he is with this loser rattle, camel, alligator, and my phone..
...and we also have a
little duck that we love to hang from his floor mat.
