School Starts Soon

I just found this website http://www.mapmyrun.com and I mapped out my school day.. I have to walk about a mile to my first class which starts at like 7:45 AM! So at least the first day I will have to leave by like 7:10 which means I have to get up at like 6 AM! that's about 4 hours too early. Not only that but I have class everyday at 7:45 AM.. oh sad I guess it will prep me for real life.. right? I'm getting nervous about school, silly but true.

American Food

I was thinking about bread today. Idaho has lots of bread to choice from, I think Utah does too. Makes me excited to buy really good bread. Wisconsin has lots of cheese, but they also have amazing sodas, cream sodas and root beers (the brand shown is so good you can taste the honey and caramel in it). Makes me wonder what I should buy in other states. You know know stuff everyone has but some places just have it better. Like Blue Bell, amazing ice cream in Texas and Kolaches in Houston! What else is out there? Know of any great foods in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, or Wyoming. Just the places we are gonna travel through on our way home.

Organic House

My mom stumbled across this house on the internet. Pretty cool and it was cheap.

I have lost my crepe recipe. It is the best on the planet! Reed said they were a celestial experience. Does anyone have a copy of my recipe? or have another recipe that is just as good?
I need your help!

Dole Peaches are on sale at my local grocery store! I love Dole Peaches! Last summer I had them everyday for lunch. Mom tried to buy me the wal-mart brand and they were so gross, that we return them all. If you love peaches you should try Dole peaches.. :)

Ryan went and helped the Boy Scouts in our ward yesterday. Today Ryan took me and Nicci to the lake, they swam in. It was really fun. We got in and the water was rather shallow and then we ventured in to deeper waters. Ryan went fishing with his hands and caught a fish that was about --------------------------------------------------- this long. It was way cool.

Apartment

Ryan and I have been checking the bulletin board for apartments all summer. We still checked but our hope was shrinking. But with less than 26 days to go we found it! Cheap, small (wouldn't mind large but...), close to School, furnished and only until Dec! We now have a home in Rexburg. Now when I said small I mean really small. It's a studio apartment with only 350 sq ft. I am horrible with sq ft Melissa said it's half the size as her smallest apartment with Eric-not a very helpful description. Anyone have a better example? I am sure we will post pictures in a month or so.. I can't wait to go back to Idaho!

Reading

Since I have done a poor job of posting during our busy yet boring summer, I've decided to post about the books I've read this summer. I've read quite a few really good books. I think my favorite was Beauty by Robin McKinley-I bugged mom for weeks until she went and read it- it's another Beauty and the Beast story, but so much better! I read Orson Scott Card's Enchantment it was SO good- I even had Nicci read it. His book is a twist of the Sleeping Beauty story.. So I like Fairy Tales.. :) I also have read Sabriel by Garth Nix and the sequel Lirael waiting for the last one Abhorsen to fall into my lap so I can read that one. I would highly recommend the first two books the last three are weird really good but I don't know if everyone would enjoy them. They're about Death but not depressing it's very interesting.

playing in the rain

Last night Ryan, Nicci, and I went on a walk and looked at the sky and the beautiful lighting storm. We came home and Nicci and I watched a little longer. Then bang around midnight the rain hit and we couldn't let Nicci play in the rain alone. So we went for another walk-this time in the rain.

trash to treasure

So about two weeks ago (around the end of the month) Ryan and I went for a little stroll and found this trunk. It was ugly, lime green with a faded green interior, and smelled of cat urine (sadly we didn't take a proper before picture before.) Ryan cleaned it and painted it and refinished the inside and did a beautiful job. So now we have a great looking HEAVY trunk. Ryan did such a great job!

Ticker

I added a ticker to our blog. I am sure everyone else is just as excited as we are about the day that we get to leave Milwaukee! So today we are a little bit less than two months away from returning home! Oh and note the ticker says when we plan on leaving and that doesn't include our trip to Nauvoo on our way home. :) I really can't wait (as if you could not tell). I can't wait to be back in IDAHO!
